The Dating Truth

Most single people never stop to ask themselves, if they’re a good dater. I wrote a post about the type of man every woman wants and I encourage men to look through the traits and ask, “Is that me?”

I share this information with men because that’s who I date. Although I’ve been extremely lucky in dating, having met lots of wonderful men, I haven’t been successful in love.

Today is World AIDS Day.

When I think of HIV and AIDS I’m reminded of the after school special where they wouldn’t let the little boy into school because he had contracted the virus at a hospital. At that time society knew very little about the disease. He sued the school and taught the country a lesson.

Decades later, more is known about what HIV is and how it’s spread yet there are thousands of new cases reported every year. Millions of people infected around the world.

Another beautiful woman is single and somewhere Jennifer Aniston is sighing in relief. I’m not sure which is worse, breaking up after 72 days of marriage or 11 years of cohabitation.

No matter how many times it’s proven that even seemingly solid relationships end, single people are determined to only date people they could see themselves marrying. Single people have convinced themselves that they will know when someone is the “One”.
